The sweet flavor of ripe summer apricots with the rich taste of Honeybush (an herb from South Africa) create a pleasantly sweet and fruity tea that delights the senses. The aroma is reminiscent of the air in an apricot orchard on a warm afternoon. A drop of honey in your cup draws out the sweet flavor of sun ripened apricots. This delightful, fruity tea is naturally caffeine free.
Honeybush is a fragrant herbal infusion made up of the honey-scented flowers, leaves and stems of the Cyclopia plant. Indigenous to South Africa, twenty four species of the plant are found in the Cape Mountain regions, of which two species are used ( C. intermedia and C. subternata) are primarily used for tea.
Honeybush is similar to Rooibos in it’s health benefits, but has been used as a tea much longer than Rooibos.
Honeybush is naturally caffeine free.

1 tsp/6-12 grams
8 oz/237 ml
Some teas are recommended for brewing with boiling water, while others are brewed at lower temperatures. Even when brewing a tea at a lower temperature, it is recommended that you first boil the water (to kill bacteria etc.) and then allow the water to cool to the correct temperature (ice cubes speed up the process). While you can certainly brew any tea with boiling water, it will change the flavor of the tea.
