A chashaku (‘tea scoop’) is a traditional Japanese tea utensil for measuring out a serving of powdered matcha. As part of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, chashaku were designed to be functional works of art. This golden bamboo scoop captures a shadow along the handle, but, in essence, the whole bamboo scoop is the same color throughout. It measures 16-17 cm long.
