For those who prefer to start their day with a full bodied brew, Irish Breakfast strikes a nice balance between English breakfast (a little milder) and Scottish breakfast (a little stronger).

This rich blend of organic Assam and Ceylon teas brews up a robust malty cup with a golden reddish color.? Irish breakfast tea is often served with milk, but is equally delightful served black or with sugar.

Likely due to the tea trade tends when Irish breakfast tea gained popularity in Ireland, it is known for it’s strong Assam component, which makes it more robust than English breakfast tea.

As someone explained in an online tea forum: “I’ve always said English breakfast is a coax-you-awake; Irish breakfast is a kick-you-awake.”

This blend contains caffeine.

Ingredients

Blend of black tea leaves.

Brewing Recommendations

Some teas are recommended for brewing with boiling water, while others are brewed at lower temperatures. Even when brewing a tea at a lower temperature, it is recommended that you first boil the water (to kill bacteria etc.) and then allow the water to cool to the correct temperature (ice cubes speed up the process). While you can certainly brew any tea with boiling water, it will change the flavor of the tea.
